History

The club was formed in 1906, and its first course was laid out by the brothers Robert and Thomas Henderson of Musselburgh, Scotland. George Cumming reworked it into a full 18 holes in the early 1920s, and Stanley Thompson was hired in 1929 to rearrange the course and develop the adjoining Ross property. Robbie Robinson and Doug Carrick did later work, and in 2020 Mackenzie & Ebert prepared a historic research study for a long-term restoration plan.
