History
Businessmen and merchants of Victoria founded the club in 1893 on a rocky seaside point in Oak Bay. It was historically known as the Oak Bay Golf Links and is the oldest golf club in Canada still on its original site. A. Vernon Macan reworked the course substantially between the 1920s and early 1950s, Jeff Mingay began restoring Macan's work in 2009, and the club hosted the Canadian Amateur Championship for its centennial in 1993.
