History
The Regina Golf Club, Saskatchewan's first golf club, began play in 1899 on a site in what is now Regina's Crescent area. In 1901 it moved to nine holes along Wascana Creek beside the North West Mounted Police barracks, and after a return to its first site from 1905 to 1910 it settled there for good. Stanley Thompson drew plans for a new course over the old one in 1925, and the work was finished by 1928. The club received the "Royal" designation in 1999, its centenary year.
