History
Canyon Meadows Golf & Country Club opened in 1957 as an 18-hole course on about 175 acres on the edge of Fish Creek Provincial Park in southwest Calgary, with a layout created by a group of locals. Les Furber modified the course in the 1970s, and the design/construction firm Olson, Beatty and Hnatiuk led a major renovation (new tees, USGA greens, bunkers, irrigation) that reopened in 2007. The private club hosted the Calgary Flames charity tournament for 20 years and is the home of the PGA Tour Champions' Rogers Charity Classic.
