History
The Regina Gyro Club formed a committee in 1925 to plan a golf course, and the Gyro Citizens' Golf Course opened on August 6, 1926, with nine sand-green holes. It lay along Wascana Creek between Elphinstone Street and today's airport. A clubhouse was built in 1927, the course grew to 18 holes, and its profits paid for the club's community donations. It was still running in the early 1950s, when Joanne Goulet represented it at provincial championships. The closing year could not be confirmed.
