History

Oakdale was founded in 1926 by members of Toronto's Jewish community, who bought a farm north of the city. Stanley Thompson designed the first nine holes and added a second nine a few years later, and Robbie Robinson added a third nine in 1957. Ian Andrew later restored the course toward Thompson's style, and the club hosted the RBC Canadian Open in 2023 and is scheduled to host it again in 2026.
