History
Ada Mackenzie founded the club in 1924 as the Ladies' Golf and Tennis Club of Toronto, so that women could get tee times at a time when men's clubs limited their hours. Stanley Thompson presented his design on December 17, 1924, and the course officially opened on August 23, 1926, with an exhibition match between Mackenzie and Helen Paget. David Moote renovated the layout in 2005, and the club is known as North America's only private golf club founded by women for women.
