History

Summerside's 18-hole parkland course on Linkletter Road, just west of the city, is listed as dating from 1945. It hosted the Canadian Senior Ladies Championship and the Sally Basker Atlantic Canada Senior Open. Developer Sean Liu bought it in 2016 with a $900,000 loan guarantee from the City of Summerside and renamed it PEI Ocean View Resort & Golf. He closed it for renovations in 2019 after one season, and plans call for it to reopen as a redeveloped 27-hole course next to the unfinished Ocean View Resort.
