History
The Lindsay Golf Club, established in 1909, played on a nine-hole course on Kent Street West, closer to town near where the Canadian Tire store now stands. There was no room to add a second nine, so in 2000 the club sold the original course and bought the Murphy Farm on Lindsay Street South, where a new 18-hole Graham Cooke course opened in 2003. The old Kent Street West site has since been taken over by the town's west-end commercial strip.
