History
Highland Country Club was founded in 1922 on farmland in Westminster Township, south of London. A farmhouse served as its first clubhouse. The club hired Stanley Thompson to design and build the course; some sources credit the firm of Thompson, Cumming & Thompson, while the club's own history names Thompson alone. Ian Andrew later reworked the bunkers and tees, and the course hosted the Ontario Men's Amateur in 1957 and the Mackenzie Tour Championship in 2015–17.
