History

Glen Abbey opened in 1976 as Jack Nicklaus's first solo course design, built in Oakville along the Sixteen Mile Creek valley. It hosted its first Canadian Open in 1977 and has since hosted the championship 30 times, more than any other course. The course is now owned by ClubLink and is open to public play as well as ClubLink members.
