History
Stanley Thompson designed Kawartha in 1931 on farmland leased from Canadian General Electric. It opened in 1932 as a nine-hole course and was expanded to 18 holes in 1938. The club hosted the 1961 Canadian PGA Championship and the 2007 Canadian Senior Amateur. Ian Andrew carried out a master plan and restoration in the mid-2000s.
