History
The Elms Golf (and Country) Club was in the former Township of Etobicoke, now Toronto. It covered the land between Islington Avenue and Albion Road north of Hadrian Drive, along the West Humber River, and took its name from the American elms in the area. Golf was still being played there in 1957 while Rexdale was being built around it. The site was turned into housing in the mid-1960s and is now the Elms neighbourhood, which includes Elms Park.
