History
Uplands Golf Club grew out of the United Services Club, which leased 120.75 acres of Hudson's Bay Company grazing land in the Uplands area of Oak Bay and took the Uplands name at a meeting in June 1922. The first ball was hit on July 1, 1922, and the club officially opened on Labour Day that year. The course was renovated by Bill Robinson in 1992 and by Graham Cooke and Wayne Carleton in 2011, and the club marked its centennial in 2022.
