History
The course opened in the early 1920s as the Chaudière Golf Club, a public course on Aylmer Road beside the Ottawa River, built after the Royal Ottawa and Rivermead clubs to serve public golfers. It was later renamed Château Cartier and is now part of the Château Cartier hotel and resort. The 18-hole course covers about 152 acres and looks out over the Chaudière rapids, the Champlain Bridge and Parliament Hill.
