History
The Kanata Golf and Country Club opened in 1968 as part of Bill Teron's planned community of Kanata. Tom McBroom completely redesigned it in 1990, and ClubLink bought it in 1997. ClubLink fought a long legal battle over a 1981 agreement that required 40 per cent of the land to stay open space, and the course closed after the Supreme Court of Canada refused to hear the City of Ottawa's appeal in 2025. The land is being redeveloped for about 1,480 homes.
