History

Braeside is a 9-hole course in Senneville on the western tip of the Island of Montreal, next to the Morgan Arboretum. The club says it was laid out on the Claude farm in 1895 and has been changed only once, in 1976, and it calls itself possibly the oldest golf course in Canada still on its original site. The short, roughly 2,800-yard layout keeps Victorian-era features such as stone walls crossing the fairways, and its Lawrie Cup has been played for since 1898.
