History

Fanshawe Golf Course is a City of London municipal facility in the city's northeast, overlooking Fanshawe Lake. It opened in 1958 as a sister course to Thames Valley, and its Traditional course was built on farmland with money raised from golfers at the city's first municipal course. The later Quarry course added a second, links-style 18, and the 9-hole Parkside practice course was billed as Canada's first golf facility fully accessible to physically disabled golfers.
