History

Beaconsfield Golf Club was founded in 1904 in Pointe-Claire, on Montreal's West Island. It began with six holes on a course laid out by Willie Park Jr. In 1941 Stanley Thompson redesigned the course so thoroughly that it is widely seen as a Thompson original. In 2021 the club named Jeff Mingay and Christine Fraser consulting architects to draw up a restoration master plan, and Mingay led the renovation that followed, covering bunkers, drainage, trees and tees.
