History
Elm Ridge Country Club was founded in 1924 in Dorval by members of Montreal's Jewish community, who were kept out of other clubs at the time. Its first course in Dorval was later used for Dorval's municipal course. In 1960 the club moved to Île Bizard, where William and David Gordon designed two 18-hole courses, North and South. Robbie Robinson, Doug Carrick, Graham Cooke and Mike Weir have all renovated the courses since. The club was private for most of its history but now says it is open to everyone.
