History
The Toronto Hunt's first nine-hole course was finished in 1896 on leased land north of Kingston Road in Scarborough, across the road from the clubhouse. The club bought the land in 1904 and moved three holes south of the road, in a redesign credited to Charlie and Albert Murray. In 1918 Willie Park Jr. laid out a new nine with five holes north of the road and four south. Because a course split by a busy highway was impractical, the club bought land west of the clubhouse in 1937 and had George Cumming design a nine entirely south of Kingston Road, which opened in 1944. The club sold the land north of the road in 1943, and the area has since been built over as part of the Birch Cliff neighbourhood.
