History

Mount Bruno Country Club opened in 1918 in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, on Montreal's South Shore, on a parkland course designed by Willie Park Jr. It hosted the Canadian Open in 1922, won by Al Watrous, and in 1924, won by Leo Diegel. Stanley Thompson and later Tom McBroom renovated the course, and it is known as one of the most exclusive private clubs in Canada.
