History

The property at 1275 Hamilton Road was a horse-training farm owned by the Branton family. They turned it into Branton Acres Country Club, adding a motel, a pool, tennis courts and a small 9-hole course; listings give 1956 as the year golf began. In 1963 ten London families, led by Roy James, founded East Park, and C.E. "Robbie" Robinson designed its 18-hole executive course. The site has since become a family amusement park with mini golf, go-karts and a waterpark, and it has been owned by the Stone/Kapp group (later joined by Shatil and Tiseo) since 1988.
