History

The club was founded in 1915 as a nine-hole course on the former Patterson Farm beside the Mississippi River at Appleton, laid out by Perth professional James Newman. Dick Green expanded the nine on more land in 1970, and Graham Cooke designed a second nine, so the club became an 18-hole course on June 11, 1988. The old stone clubhouse burned down in 1997-98 and a new one opened in June 1998; the members own the club.
