History
Fraserview was built on the slopes above the Fraser River in South Vancouver as a Depression-era relief works project paid for with federal relief money. H.L. McPherson laid it out and supervised construction, and the first nine holes opened on June 14, 1934. The second nine and a new clubhouse opened in October 1938. The course is owned by the Vancouver Park Board and was significantly redesigned by Thomas McBroom in the late 1990s.
