History

The club was founded in 1953 on land leased from the District of North Vancouver above Dollarton. Eric Negus designed and built the course, with help from Ernie Brown, and it was officially opened in September 1954, though it was not really playable for several years. Members bought the assets of Seymour Golf Co. in 1968, and the back nine was rebuilt from 1969 and reopened in 1972. Bill Robinson renovated the course in 1985, and Ted Locke later rebuilt the front nine (reopened 2005) and the back nine (reopened 2017); under its lease the private club stays open to the public on Mondays.
