History

Marine Drive Golf Club was founded in 1922 when Dr. Brett Anderson and A.E. Philp bought a former dairy farm on the north shore of the Fraser River. A.V. Macan fitted 18 holes onto the roughly 105-acre property, and the old farm buildings were turned into the clubhouse. The club co-hosted the 1992 World Amateur Team Championships with Capilano. Jim Urbina renovated the bunkers and green surrounds in 2010, and Rod Whitman became the consulting architect in 2021.
