History
The club opened around 1900 as a nine-hole Scottish links-style course below the Penryn Park mansion, the 1859 estate of Col. Arthur T.H. Williams, on the Lake Ontario shore at Port Hope. It later grew to 18 holes. In a remodel by architect Jason Miller, the club dropped several upland holes and built new holes on farmland near the lake. The remodel was nominated for Golf Digest's 2021 Remodel of the Year award.
