History
Clive and Dorothy Rogers founded Newlands on farmland they owned in Langley. Clive Rogers hired retired Jericho professional Alex Duthie to lay out a nine-hole course, which opened in 1948, and in 1959 he added a short second nine. In 1961 the Rogers family sold the club to Spence Forshaw and Raoul Anderson. Anderson later became sole owner and hired W.L. Overdorf to rebuild the whole course, which reopened fully renovated in 1987. The club also has an 11-hole executive course.
