History

Rivermead Golf Club was founded in 1910 in Aylmer (now part of Gatineau), on land near the north shore of the Ottawa River, with a nine-hole course laid out under Charles Murray. George Cumming expanded it to 18 holes in 1915, Ken Skodacek and Ken Venturi carried out a major renovation in 1989, and Jeff Mingay completed a five-year improvement project in 2023. In 1948 the club joined Royal Ottawa and Ottawa Hunt to form the Ottawa District Golf Association.
