History

The club traces its roots to 1906, when the first Moncton Golf Club opened on Salisbury Road. In 1917 members of the Humphreys and Moncton clubs began building a new course on 125 acres in Gunningsville (now Riverview), called the Riverdale Club. It opened with 9 holes in 1921, grew to 12 holes in 1933, took the name Moncton Golf and Country Club in 1942, and became an 18-hole course in 1949. In 1994 three new holes and a full practice facility were added.
