History
The Buckingham Golf Club was reorganized in the spring of 1933 and its first nine-hole course, laid out on the Gorman farm east of the Lièvre River, opened that year. A local industry built it as a private course for its employees, and it opened to the public some years later. In 1987 it was expanded to 18 holes: eight of the original nine holes were kept and renumbered, and the original seventh was dropped.
