History
Golf at the site began in 1930, when Ontario Lieutenant Governor W.D. Ross had six holes built at his summer home, The Willows, in the Credit River valley. Arthur Price leased the property in 1934 and hired Stanley Thompson to expand it to nine holes. Members took over the lease in 1951, and the course reached 18 holes in 1954 with five new holes on the west side of the river. The club became fully private in the late 1950s, bought the valley lands in 1969, and had Thompson's former associate Robbie Robinson reshape the layout in the 1970s.
