History

The Garrison Golf & Curling Club sits on Red Patch Avenue at CFB Kingston. It began in 1961 as a curling and recreation facility. A nine-hole golf course designed by Richard H. Green, the longtime Cataraqui professional, and Johnny Marsh was added in 1971, and a second nine designed by Tom McBroom opened in 1985. The club mainly serves Canadian Forces and Department of National Defence members, but civilians can also join.
