History

Founded in 1917 at the western tip of Île Jésus, Laval-sur-le-Lac is described as North America's oldest French-speaking private golf club; Willie Park Jr. designed its original course, which became the 18-hole Green course by 1923. It hosted the 1954 Canada Cup and the 1962 Canadian Open. Howard Watson added a third nine in 1968 and Graham Cooke a fourth in 1992, and together those two nines form the Blue course, which Ian Andrew and Mike Weir redesigned in 2013.
