History

The course opened in 1929 as the Glenlea Golf Club on the Aylmer Road in what is now the Aylmer sector of Gatineau. It was one of several public courses built along the road during a golf boom in the 1920s, and it was later renamed Champlain. Course guides credit Howard Watson with work on the course in 1969. Today it is an 18-hole, par-71 course open to the public.
