History

W. Lynwood (Lyn) Stewart developed Kingsway Park on former farmland on chemin de la Montagne in Aylmer (now Gatineau). He opened the first nine holes in 1965 and the second nine in 1969, and in 1967 the club became home to the Canadian Golf Museum, the country's first golf museum. Stewart ran the club until 1992, when Luc and Raymond DeCelles bought it. The museum then closed, and its collection went to the Canadian Museum of Civilization.
