History
Belle Park Fairways was a nine-hole municipal golf course run by the City of Kingston on the western shore of the Cataraqui River. It was built on the city landfill, which operated from 1952 to 1974, and opened as part of Belle Park in 1978. Spring flooding kept the course from opening in 2017, and that September council voted to end golf on the course. The land is now Belle Park, a public park the city is redeveloping under a master plan.
