History
The club dates its founding to 1924, when cottagers at Big Bay Point cleared rocks from a farm field owned by one of them and laid out three holes, then expanded to five. In the spring of 1926 they hired Stanley Thompson, who designed and built the full 9-hole layout, which has changed little since. A clubhouse designed by Thompson's sister Mildred was built about 1934, centred on a large stone fireplace.
