History
Jimmy Johnstone Sr. and Bert Turcotte bought a 100-acre farm north of Stouffville in 1954 to build a golf course. Johnstone designed it, and it opened for play in 1959; it was named and officially opened for its first full season in 1960. The nines were reversed in 1963, the clubhouse burned in 1972 and was rebuilt in 1973, Hans Marcus bought the club in 1990, and Robert Heaslip redesigned several holes in 2002 and 2004.
