History
Founded in 1906 on the Credit River, on the site of the former Credit Indian Village, the club opened with nine holes laid out by Percy Barrett of Lambton and was expanded to 18 holes by George Cumming in 1909. Donald Ross revised the course in 1919, and Stanley Thompson rebuilt greens and bunkers, diverted the river and lengthened the course ahead of the 1931 Canadian Open, one of several Canadian Opens the club has hosted. Doug Carrick has advised the club since 2000, rebuilding its greens and, from 2017, its bunkers.
